A charming 2-flat in Chicago brought into the 21st century through an imaginative renovation. The project added 3 beds / 2 baths, a duplexed owner’s unit and much-needed daylight throughout. Creating a home large enough for a family of four while preserving the second rental unit, was critical to the owner and a win for neighborhood businesses.
